The author of life writes for me.

When I was five, my older brother helped me write words to a picture book I made about Snoopy. Since I could not read my own writing, my brother had me turn the pages while he read to me. Our story was so simple, but that early experience marks the beginning of my lifelong love for storytelling.

Along the way, I dreamed of becoming an author and prayed to God for success. I wrote songs about fame, fortune and glory, hoping to one day write a book and a complimentary rock album. I completed both projects, but neither drew much attention outside of family and friends. And though stardom never came, my Christian faith blossomed. I could plainly see how God had written amazing people into my life - a loving mother, tremendous brothers, fatherly figures, terrific friends, caring bosses, and finally my miraculous wife and children. So I still dream but with great honor for God, the author of life.

I encourage everyone everywhere to see the glory God writes into our lives every day. He gives us the sun and the moon and the stars, each other, our pets, our conscience and intelligence - everything good. When I focus on all that God does, the daily news takes its rightful place in the far corners of my mind. God is my inspiration. Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life"
(New International Version, John 14:6).

I believe Him.
